**** (4 STARS) as intensely wild and beautifully low-key as the changing seasons.... creates the kind of dreamy soundtrack that we’ve come to expect from musicians toying with ambience – yet there’s nothing muzak-like about their songs. Their ability to steer you through unlikely terrain is what keeps you listening: on closing track ‘Renfield’ the band takes the most polite of instruments – the piano – and with gradual, steady, low-pressure changes allows the pretty notes to escalate into a cloud-rumbling force that could rip roofs from houses. Yet, on ‘Left Wing Guardian’ the composition is as delicate and entrancing as a sun shower.
